Brisbane 2032 Olympics

2025

The Brisbane 2032 Summer Olympics identity captures a vibrant fusion of heritage, place, and forward-thinking design. At its heart is a dual wordmark, pairing “Brisbane” with “Meanjin,” the Turrbal name for the land on which the city stands, symbolizing respect for Country and its enduring cultural significance. The modern typographic treatment references the radiance of the sun and the flowing curves of the Brisbane River, Maiwar, anchoring the identity in both nature and community.

The color palette draws from Queensland’s lush flora and diverse fauna, infusing the system with warmth, vitality, and a distinct sense of place. A dither-style photographic treatment creates a unique visual language, connecting the storytelling of Australia’s Indigenous art with the technological and creative energy that defines Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Centered on modernity, it offers a fresh take on Brisbane—celebrating the joy of the Olympics and the spirited, welcoming essence of Australia.
